about

lyrics

Ain't no fish in the river
And so few fish in the sea !
What have we done down here ?
What have they done down there ?

When I was a young boy, I can remember
There were so many fish in the waters everywhere
But our grandfathers could allready confess
That years and years they were catching less and less
I'm not the only one, the only one to complain
But I'm afraid I wail, we wail in vain
So listen to me man, I am a fisherman,
Just looking for a place to cast my line !

Mass production, chemical destruction
Have led to the fauna great depletion
So far from Zion, down inna Babylon
Today, we are the spoiled generation ?

We can't let this be done !
Time has come for things to change !
Nature has suffered enough enough enough,
We have to react while future is still in range.

Ain't no fish in the river
And so few fish in the sea !
What have we done down here ?
What have they done down there ?

about

Obidaya Paris, France

Roots Reggae Band from Paris with a singularity: the lead singing is shared in turnover by 4 vocalists : one leading, the other backing the vocals. Obidaya brings a sweet loudness, with heavy and dynamic instrumentals played with old school instruments (like Hammond B3 organs or clavinets/wah) coupled with sweet and aerial harmonies, with a real science and feeling for composition. Obidaya rocks! ... more
